Weather Situation
Very hot and dry conditions will continue in the north and west of Western Australia on Thursday. Fresh and gusty southeast to northeast winds are forecast for the South Interior and the inland Gascoyne during the day. Fresh and gusty afternoon sea breezes are forecast for the Central West, the western Gascoyne and northwestern parts of the Central Wheat Belt. Fresh and gusty northwest to southwest winds are forecast throughout the Pilbara during Thursday afternoon.

For Thursday 23 December:
Extreme Fire Danger is forecast for the following fire weather districts:
East Pilbara Coast and West Pilbara Coast

Severe Fire Danger is forecast for the following fire weather districts:
Gascoyne, Inland Central West, Interior, East Pilbara Inland, Ashburton Inland, Coastal Central West - North and Mortlock
