Heavy rainfall was observed across the Flood Watch area during Saturday.
Further rainfall is forecast for the flood watch area during Sunday into Monday.

Catchments in the Flood Watch area are moderately wet as a result of the recent rainfall. Elevated river levels are observed across the catchments.

Widespread rainfall totals of 10-40 mm are forecast for Sunday, with isolated higher totals possible. Additional rainfall totals of up to 15 mm are forecast for Monday across the Flood Watch area.

With the forecast rainfall, river rises are expected and areas of minor flooding may develop in the Flood Watch catchments.

A minor flood warning is current for the Snowy River catchment.

Catchments likely to be affected include:

Bemm, Cann and Genoa Rivers

Flooding is no longer expected in the following catchments: Mitchell River, Macalister River.

The Bureau of Meteorology is continuing to monitor the situation and will issue catchment specific warnings as required.
