This Watch & Act message is for Ardeer, Deer Park, Derrimut, Laverton North, Sunshine West.

There is a building fire at Sunshine College, Glengala Road, Sunshine.
Wind is blowing smoke towards the South.
The fire is under control.

Anyone located in the area to the south of the fire should take shelter indoors immediately.

What you should do:

Close all exterior doors and windows.
Turn off heating and cooling systems.
Close fireplaces and vents.
You should avoid the area.

Impacts in your area:

The following roads are closed: Glengala Road and Allison St, in the vicinity of the fire.
Traffic in the area may be affected.
Emergency Services will remain in the area.
