the specified catchments.
Initial Flood Watch for Northern Tasmanian catchments

Localised minor flooding is possible in some northern river
catchments from Sunday afternoon, based on forecast rainfall.
A cold front is forecast to cross Tasmania during Sunday bringing
state-wide rainfall, with heaviest falls expected in northern
areas.
Catchments are wet from recent rainfall.
In the 24 hours to 9 am Saturday, 5-20 mm of rainfall were
recorded across the flood watch area (up to 22 mm at Mt Barrow),
with a further 5-15 mm forecast for the remainder of Saturday.
Rainfall of 15-25 mm is forecast for Sunday, with isolated higher
totals possible in elevated areas.
River rises are expected during Sunday, and minor flooding is
possible at some locations from Sunday afternoon based on forecast
rainfall.

North Esk River
Meander River
North Coastal Rivers
