For people in parts of Southern Downs, Western Downs, Toowoomba,
Lockyer Valley, Sunshine Coast and Noosa Council Areas.

The Bureau of Meteorology warns that, at 6:55 pm, severe
thunderstorms were detected on the weather radar near Warwick and
Pittsworth. They are forecast to affect Toowoomba, the area east of
Dalby and the area northeast of Dalby by 7:25 pm and Stanthorpe,
Dalby and the area south of Noosa Heads by 7:55 pm.
Heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding is likely.
62mm of rain was observed in the 1 hour up to 5.26pm at Jondaryan
Lagoon.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services advises that people
should:
* Never drive, walk or ride through flood waters. If it's flooded,
forget it.
* Seek shelter, preferably indoors and never under trees.
* Avoid using the telephone during a thunderstorm.
* Beware of fallen trees and powerlines.
* For emergency assistance contact the SES on 132 500.
