Moreton Bay Council Areas.

The Bureau of Meteorology warns that, at 6:15 am, very dangerous
thunderstorms were detected on the weather radar near the area
southwest of Noosa Heads, the area west of Noosa Heads, Kenilworth,
Eumundi, Cooroy and the area southwest of Eumundi. Very dangerous
thunderstorms are forecast to affect Conondale, Mapleton and the
area west of Conondale by 6:45 am and Yandina and the ranges south
of Jimna by 7:15 am.
Intense rainfall that may lead to dangerous and life-threatening
flash flooding is likely.
Cooran recorded 133mm in 2 hours to 6:15am.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services advises that people
should:
* Never drive, walk or ride through flood waters. If it's flooded,
forget it.
* Seek shelter, preferably indoors and never under trees.
* Avoid using the telephone during a thunderstorm.
* Beware of fallen trees and powerlines.
* For emergency assistance contact the SES on 132 500.
