For people in parts of Somerset, Redland City, Sunshine Coast,
Brisbane City and Moreton Bay Council Areas.

The Bureau of Meteorology warns that, at 3:40 pm, severe
thunderstorms were detected on the weather radar near Strathpine,
Mount Kilcoy and Woodford. These thunderstorms are moving towards
the east. They are forecast to affect Cleveland, Redcliffe and
Mount Beerwah by 4:10 pm and Peachester by 4:40 pm.
Heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding, damaging winds and
large hailstones are likely.
Beaudesert has recorded 67mm in 1hr to 2pm.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services advises that people
should:
* Move your car under cover or away from trees.
* Secure loose outdoor items.
* Never drive, walk or ride through flood waters. If it's flooded,
forget it.
* Seek shelter, preferably indoors and never under trees.
* Avoid using the telephone during a thunderstorm.
* Beware of fallen trees and powerlines.
