Severe thunderstorms producing heavy, possibly intense rainfall about the southeast.

The Bureau of Meteorology warns that, at 8:00 am, severe thunderstorms were detected on the weather radar near Grandchester and Rosewood. These thunderstorms are slow moving. They are forecast to affect Rosevale and the area south of Amberley by 8:30 am.

Intense rainfall that may lead to dangerous and life-threatening flash flooding is likely.

43mm recorded at Little Egypt Alert in 30min to 6:30am.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services advises that people should:
* Never drive, walk or ride through flood waters. If it's flooded, forget it.
* Seek shelter, preferably indoors and never under trees.
* Avoid using the telephone during a thunderstorm.
* Beware of fallen trees and powerlines.
