Brisbane City and Moreton Bay Council Areas.

The Bureau of Meteorology warns that, at 4:40 pm, severe
thunderstorms were detected on the weather radar near Ellangowan,
southern Lake Wivenhoe and the area southwest of Warwick. These
thunderstorms are moving towards the northeast to southeast. They
are forecast to affect Stanthorpe, the area northwest of Warwick
and Allora by 5:10 pm and Warwick, the area northeast of Warwick
and the area north of Warwick by 5:40 pm.
Damaging winds and large hailstones are likely.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services advises that people
should:
* Move your car under cover or away from trees.
* Secure loose outdoor items.
* Seek shelter, preferably indoors and never under trees.
* Avoid using the telephone during a thunderstorm.
* Beware of fallen trees and powerlines.
