For people in Adelaide Metropolitan, Mount Lofty Ranges, Lower
Eyre Peninsula, Eastern Eyre Peninsula, Yorke Peninsula, Flinders,
Mid North, Kangaroo Island, Riverland, Murraylands, Upper South
East, Lower South East and parts of West Coast, North West Pastoral
and North East Pastoral districts.

Very windy conditions with a low pressure system today.
Weather Situation: A complex low pressure system is moving across
the south of SA today, before moving over western Victoria late
tonight.
Strong to gale force winds averaging 55 to 65 km/h with damaging
gusts in excess of 90 km/h are forecast across parts of the State
this afternoon and evening. Winds will be northwest to westerly
across northern and western parts of the warning area turning
southwest to southeasterly in the south.
Showers and thunderstorms are also occurring and a separate
warning for severe phenomena associated with thunderstorms has been
issued.
Areas of thick raised dust with reduced visibility are also
occurring over the Pastoral and Flinders districts and parts of the
northern agricultural area.
Locations which may be affected include Adelaide, Port Lincoln,
Whyalla, Renmark, Mount Gambier, Kingscote, Naracoorte, Roxby Downs
and Leigh Creek.
Highest wind gusts recorded today include:
104 km/h at Cultana at 3:22 pm
98 km/h at Loxton at 4:42 pm
96 km/h at Pt Augusta at 2:42 pm
95 km/h at Woomera at 3:21 pm
91 km/h at Roxby Downs at 3:00 pm
Winds averaging in excess of 63 km/h were also observed at
Cultana, Pt Augusta, Roxby Downs, and Woomera.
The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Move vehicles under cover or away from trees;
* Secure or put away loose items around your property.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while conditions are
severe.
