Severe thunderstorms with locally INTENSE rainfall are developing this afternoon.

Weather Situation: A very moist airstream and developing low pressure system is leading to the development of severe thunderstorms this afternoon.

Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce intense rainfall that may lead to dangerous and life-threatening flash flooding in the warning area over the next several hours. Thunderstorms are forecast to affect Woomera.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Don't drive, ride or walk through flood water.
* Keep clear of creeks and storm drains.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while storms are nearby.
