ONGOING FLOODING IMPACTS
Heavy rainfall has been observed in the northern parts of the
Pastoral districts over the last few days. Four day rainfall totals
in excess of 50 mm have been recorded at multiple locations, with
several locations recording over
100 mm, including 162 mm at Todmorden.
Rain and thunderstorms are forecast to clear from the far north
east of the North East Pastoral district late Wednesday. Thereafter
no further rainfall is forecast across the Flood Watch area for at
least the next four days.
SA catchments, including the North West and North East Pastoral
Districts, have received significant rainfall over the last few
weeks and flooding impacts are being experienced across large parts
of the State.
Rainfall totals of 5 to 15 mm are forecast for the remainder of
Wednesday in the northeast, with possible higher totals of 15 to 30
mm associated with thunderstorms in the far northeast.
Water ponding and overland flow together with flow in local
streams and creeks can be expected. Transport routes have been
impacted, affecting community access and travel.
A generalised flood warning is current for the Cooper Creek.

Warburton River
Lake Frome (North and North West parts)
Cooper Creek
Lake Gairdner
Finke River and Stephenson Creek
Eastern Great Victoria Desert
North West Lake Torrens
Western Desert
