and Burnett, Maranoa and Warrego and Darling Downs and Granite Belt
Forecast Districts.

Heavy thunderstorms continuing over the southeastern interior,
particularly northeast of Chinchilla.
Weather Situation: An upper low is combining with a surface trough
to promote heavy and slow-moving thunderstorms.
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce heavy rainfall that may
lead to flash flooding in the warning area over the next several
hours. Locations which may be affected include Dalby, Goondiwindi,
Taroom, Gayndah, Inglewood, Millmerran, Moonie, Chinchilla, Miles,
Mundubbera, Eidsvold and Tara.
Gunn Bridge rain gauge (40km NNW of Goondiwindi) recorded 136mm in
the 3 hours to 8:00pm.
Canaan Creek (just north of Chinchilla) recorded 129mm in the 3
hours to 9:00pm.
Myall Park Road Alert (near Miles) recorded 73.4mm in the 2 hours
to 6:30pm.
Lundavra recorded 51mm in the 1 hour to 5:50pm.
Bengalla rain gauge (just east of Goondiwindi) recorded 56mm of
rain in the 2 hours to 4:50pm.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services advises that people
should:
* Never drive, walk or ride through flood waters. If it's flooded,
forget it.
* Seek shelter, preferably indoors and never under trees.
* Avoid using the telephone during a thunderstorm.
* Beware of fallen trees and powerlines.
