Highlands and Coalfields, Capricornia, Wide Bay and Burnett and
Maranoa and Warrego Forecast Districts.

Severe Thunderstorms continue over southern inland areas.
Weather Situation: Severe thunderstorms continue to form in very
moist air to the east of a low pressure system over southern inland
Queensland with a gradual eastward movement of the threat
area.
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce heavy rainfall that may
lead to flash flooding in the warning area over the next several
hours. Locations which may be affected include Dalby, Roma, St
George, Goondiwindi, Mungindi and Tara.
Severe thunderstorms are no longer occurring in the Central West
district and the warning for this district is CANCELLED.
Over the past 2 hours Bengalla rain gauge east of Goondiwindi
recorded 54 mm of rain.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services advises that people
should:
* Never drive, walk or ride through flood waters. If it's flooded,
forget it.
* Seek shelter, preferably indoors and never under trees.
* Avoid using the telephone during a thunderstorm.
* Beware of fallen trees and powerlines.
