For people in Central Highlands and Coalfields and parts of
Northern Goldfields and Upper Flinders, Herbert and Lower Burdekin,
Central West, Capricornia, Wide Bay and Burnett and Darling Downs
and Granite Belt Forecast Districts.

Slow moving severe thunderstorms are continuing to develop over
inland Queensland this evening.
Weather Situation: Slow moving thunderstorms in a moisture rich
environment are triggering on and east of a trough through inland
Queensland this evening.
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce heavy rainfall that may
lead to flash flooding in the warning area over the next several
hours. Locations which may be affected include Emerald, Clermont,
Charters Towers, Blackwater, Moranbah and Carnarvon National
Park.
Severe thunderstorms are no longer occurring in the Maranoa and
Warrego district and the warning for this district is
CANCELLED.
Duaringa west of Rockhampton recorded 68mm of rain in one hour to
1:45pm.
Hawkwood Range west of Gayndah recorded 52mm in the one hour to
2:30pm.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services advises that people
should:
* Never drive, walk or ride through flood waters. If it's flooded,
forget it.
* Seek shelter, preferably indoors and never under trees.
* Avoid using the telephone during a thunderstorm.
* Beware of fallen trees and powerlines.
