Forecast Districts.

Potential severe storms between Moranbah and Blackwater with heavy
activity near Maryborough
Weather Situation: A very moist and unstable airmass is combining
with a pre-frontal trough and cold front across central and
southern Queensland. A separate coastal trough is also located
about the Wide Bay and Burnett coast.
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce heavy rainfall that may
lead to flash flooding in the warning area over the next several
hours. Locations which may be affected include Gympie, Rainbow
Beach, Maryborough, Hervey Bay, Blackwater and Moranbah.
Severe thunderstorms are no longer occurring in the Darling Downs
and Granite Belt district and the warning for this district is
CANCELLED.
Logan Creek (W of Moranbah) recorded 56mm in 1 hour to
11:15pm
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services advises that people
should:
* Never drive, walk or ride through flood waters. If it's flooded,
forget it.
* Seek shelter, preferably indoors and never under trees.
* Avoid using the telephone during a thunderstorm.
* Beware of fallen trees and powerlines.
* For emergency assistance contact the SES on 132 500.
