Coalfields, Channel Country, Wide Bay and Burnett, Maranoa and
Warrego and Darling Downs and Granite Belt Forecast
Districts.

Potential for isolated severe storms is continuing over portions
of southern and western Queensland.
Weather Situation: A very moist and unstable airmass extends
across central parts of the state. A slow-moving trough system
extending through the Warrego and Maranoa northeastwards to the
central coast will support further thunderstorm development this
evening, a few of which may be severe.
Severe thunderstorms may produce damaging winds and heavy rainfall
that may lead to flash flooding in the warning area over the next
several hours. Locations which may be affected include Stanthorpe,
Taroom, Bedourie, Boulia, Injune, Texas, Glenormiston, Chinchilla,
Miles, Elgin Downs and Brighton Downs.
Severe thunderstorms are no longer occurring in the Central West
district and the warning for this district is CANCELLED.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services advises that people
should:
* Move your car under cover or away from trees.
* Secure loose outdoor items.
* Never drive, walk or ride through flood waters. If it's flooded,
forget it.
* Seek shelter, preferably indoors and never under trees.
* Avoid using the telephone during a thunderstorm.
* Beware of fallen trees and powerlines.
