For people in parts of Central Coast and Whitsundays, Central
Highlands and Coalfields, Central West, Maranoa and Warrego and
Darling Downs and Granite Belt Forecast Districts.

Thunderstorms continuing to increase in coverage and intensity
over central parts of the state and inland from the central
coast.
Weather Situation: A very moist and unstable airmass extends
across central parts of the state. A slow-moving trough system
extending through the Warrego and Maranoa northeastwards to the
central coast will act as a focus for thunderstorm development
through the afternoon.
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds and
heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding in the warning area
over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected
include Roma, Charleville, Emerald, Clermont, Blackwater and
Moranbah.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services advises that people
should:
* Move your car under cover or away from trees.
* Secure loose outdoor items.
* Never drive, walk or ride through flood waters. If it's flooded,
forget it.
* Seek shelter, preferably indoors and never under trees.
* Avoid using the telephone during a thunderstorm.
* Beware of fallen trees and powerlines.
