For people in Southeast Coast and parts of Peninsula, Gulf
Country, North Tropical Coast and Tablelands, Northern Goldfields
and Upper Flinders, Herbert and Lower Burdekin, Central Highlands
and Coalfields, Capricornia, Wide Bay and Burnett and Maranoa and
Warrego Forecast Districts.

Severe thunderstorms are continuing over various parts of the
state.
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging, locally
destructive winds and large, possibly giant hailstones over the
next several hours in the Southeast Coast and parts of the Wide Bay
and Burnett districts. Locations which may be affected include
Maroochydore, Gympie, Gatton, Jimboomba, Laidley and Lowood.
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds and
large hailstones over the next several hours in parts of the
Central Highlands and Coalfields, Capricornia, Wide Bay and Burnett
and Maranoa and Warrego districts. Locations which may be affected
include Emerald, Blackwater, Rolleston, Baralaba, Springsure and
Carnarvon National Park.
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds and
heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding over the next
several hours in parts of the Peninsula, Gulf Country, North
Tropical Coast and Tablelands, Northern Goldfields and Upper
Flinders and Herbert and Lower Burdekin districts. Locations which
may be affected include Coen, Palmerville, Musgrave, Dunbar,
Chillagoe and Mount Garnet.
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services advises that people
should:
* Move your car under cover or away from trees.
* Secure loose outdoor items.
* Never drive, walk or ride through flood waters. If it's flooded,
forget it.
* Seek shelter, preferably indoors and never under trees.
* Avoid using the telephone during a thunderstorm.
* Beware of fallen trees and powerlines.
