MINOR TO MODERATE FLOODING POSSIBLE ACROSS THE FLOOD WATCH
AREA
A weak trough in western Queensland, will deepen and move slowly
eastward across the interior of the state from Friday as an upper
trough begins to strengthen over the south. The trough is likely to
linger through the southern inland catchments over the weekend and
early next week, enhancing rainfall about the south and southeast
of the state.
Parts of the region remain very wet following recent rainfall with
flooding continuing in some areas.
Isolated heavy rainfall is expected with thunderstorms from Friday
afternoon in parts of the Flood Watch area.
River level rises are expected, with minor to moderate flooding
possible across the Flood Watch area from Saturday.
Flood warning is current for the Bokhara River.
Catchments likely to be affected include:
Condamine Rivers
Macintyre River
Weir River
Moonie River
Balonne River
