FLOODING POSSIBLE FOR PARTS OF NEW SOUTH WALES NORTHERN RIVERS AND
UPPER MACINTYRE RIVER FROM THURSDAY
A trough over New South Wales' west is drawing humid conditions
over the North East of the state. This is expected to cause
thunderstorms and rain on Wednesday and Thursday.
Catchments likely to be affected by flooding are currently very
wet following weeks of storms and wet conditions.
High tides are also expected along parts of the New South Wales
Coast which may exacerbate riverine flooding.
The weather system may cause flooding for the catchments listed
for Thursday and Friday as the weather system moves east.
Catchments likely to be affected include:
Wilsons River
minor flooding
Orara River
minor flooding
Bellinger and Kalang Rivers
minor flooding
Upper Macintyre River
minor flooding
Flood warnings are current from previous rainfall events, in the
following catchments: Barwon-Darling Rivers, Lachlan River and
Paroo River.

Flood Safety Advice:
This Flood Watch means that people living or working along rivers
and streams must monitor the latest weather forecasts and warnings
and be ready to move to higher ground should flooding
develop.
Flood Warnings will be issued if Minor Flood Level is expected to
be exceeded at key sites along the main rivers for which the Bureau
of Meteorology provides a flood warning service.
Severe Weather Warnings will be issued or updated if very heavy
rain is forecast or observed.
