FLOODING LIKELY FOR PARTS OF NORTH WEST NSW FROM MONDAY
Moderate to heavy rainfall associated with a trough and frontal
system is expected to impact north west parts of NSW on Monday and
Tuesday, with minor riverine flooding expected.
On Sunday a cold front lies from far western NSW through to the
southeast, and is expected to move to the northeast before
interacting with a trough system that lies through Queensland with
widespread areas of rainfall, along with thunderstorms.
Catchments in the northwest are moderately wet with some dams
relatively full.
The weather system is expected to cause flooding for the
catchments listed.
Catchments likely to be affected include:
Upper Macintyre River minor flooding
Gwydir River minor flooding
Peel River minor flooding
Namoi River minor flooding

and streams must monitor the latest weather forecasts and warnings
and be ready to move to higher ground should flooding
develop.
Flood Warnings will be issued if Minor Flood Level is expected to
be exceeded at key sites along the main rivers for which the Bureau
of Meteorology provides a flood warning service.
Severe Weather Warnings will be issued or updated if very heavy
rain is forecast or observed.
