FLOODING POSSIBLE FOR PARTS OF LOWER NSW SOUTH COAST
A low pressure system over the Tasman Sea is forecast to move
southwards towards the NSW south coast during the weekend. This
weather system has the potential to bring rainfall and cause
flooding along NSW coastal catchments from Bega to the Victorian
Border.
Flood Watch for is current for parts of Gippsland in
Victoria.
The weather system may cause flooding for the catchments listed
from Sunday onwards. Flood Classes (minor, moderate, major) are
only defined for catchments where the Bureau provides a flood
warning service.
Catchments likely to be affected include:
Bega River minor flooding
Towamba River
Bemm, Cann and Genoa Rivers
Flood warnings are current for the following catchments: Wilsons,
Richmond, Clarence, Orara, Bellinger, Wollombi, Macintyre,Culgoa,
Birrie, Bokhara, Narran, and Paroo
