Severe thunderstorms with heavy rainfall over the northern
Adelaide area
Weather Situation: Thunderstorms associated with a complex low
pressure system are moving across parts of SA.
The Bureau of Meteorology warns that, at 12:10 am, severe
thunderstorms were detected on the weather radar near Elizabeth and
Salisbury. These thunderstorms are moving towards the south. They
are forecast to affect Adelaide City, Tea Tree Gully and Blackwood
by 12:40 am and Mount Barker, Meadows and Macclesfield by 1:10
am.
Heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding is likely.
The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Don't drive, ride or walk through flood water.
* Keep clear of creeks and storm drains.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while storms are nearby.
